the sound of when it gets dark earlier and you wake up at 2 pm & its already dark by breakfast and when you're riding in the car and the trees are bare and melancholy. hopefully you can find warmth, sometimes you can.

this album was written for & about significant people in my life and my subsequent experiences, emotions, and ideas that center around them. definitely the most traditionally written album i've put out: instead of building tracks upon texture I leaned much more heavily on actual piano compositions, most of which became fleshed-out soundscapes but a few of which remained in their original form (tracks 7 & 12).

an album that straddles the line between noise and drone. for the most part not as abrasive as previous explorations but not without edge. last album was all texture & no composition and thus failed, i think, and i wanted this to find a happy medium. please enjoy with a cup of tea and headphones.
